DOCTRINES OF DEVILS!

I was shocked beyond measure by this anonymous comment I found on another blog, where the topic of discussion was the shameful goings-on in the current Big Brother Africa house,

"Christians things. Why are you all ranting,her behaviour is typical of we christians.christianty eQuals...freedom in all its form.. Nudity,fornication,alcohol,partying,sodomy,homosexuality,sex with small boys in parish and other orishirishi(with d xception of child marriage as we call it). Please stop complaining as she is not a sinner,Jesus has died for her sins so allow her to enjoy life na like you do exactly." (unedited text!).

There were a number of other comments more or less conveying the same message. This is way, way of the mark! How do so-called Christians develop this kind of mind-set? Are they really Christians? If several people on a blog post could share this view, then it is safe to extrapolate that a significant proportion of society think the same way. I say again, God is indeed patient!

In Romans 6:1,2 we read, "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?"

1Timothy 4:1,2 warns, "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron..."

These doctrines of devils abound and we all need to be on our guard  to avoid being carried away by the avalanche of decay happening all around us. How? By truly making Jesus Christ the Lord over our lives, being led by the Holy Spirit of God and immersing ourselves wholly in the Word of God. A word is sufficient for the wise!
