AUDACITY OF PRESUMPTION

President Barack Obama wrote a book titled 'Audacity of Hope'. Well, I have drawn inspiration from him for the title of this post. "What is it all about?", you ask.

The other day I was reading a post on another blog. It had to do with the indiscretions of married people.

MARRIAGE: COVENANT OR CONTRACT?

 

As a follow-on to THIS POST I ask, is marriage a covenant or a contract? Are the two parties involved in marriage of equal standing? Is it mutually beneficial? Can it be entered into and exited at will?

I thought I had a clear-cut answer to the first question, but frankly, now I'm not so sure. I think I need to study a bit more, then I'll come back and do a concluding post :-)

CYBER-AGGRESSION

I read a few blogs, all Nigerian, and I am shocked at the level of aggression exhibited on some of them. I wonder if this is peculiar to Nigerians alone, or a world-wide phenomenon.

There seems to be such a high level of agression floating around just waiting for where to happen. Does it have anything to do with to the stress of everyday life? Is this behaviour restricted to cyber-space or is it a true reflection of their real lives?
