ANGRY ATHEISTS CONTINUE ATTACK ON 'GROUND ZERO' CROSS

Following a big victory for the Ground Zero cross earlier this year, where a federal judge threw out an atheists lawsuit to tear down the Cross, angry atheists are now appealing that ruling to a federal appeals court.

SHOULD CHRISTIAN MINISTERS SIGN UP FOR REALITY TV SHOWS?

A reality show called 'Preachers of LA', has recently begun airing on tv channels in the US. My initial reaction when I read this was, 'Really?! Why?'.

NEW 'JESUS' BILLBOARD SPARKS OUTRAGE

A new billboard campaign in the US has sparked outrage among many Christians. The billboards are the brainchild of the group behind Jesustattoo.org, and are meant to be a form of evangelism to get people talking about Christ.

This has, however, not gone down well with a lot of Christians in the town in Texas were the campaign was begun and I don't blame them. Granted, the propagation of the gospel is important, but isn't the means of this propagation important too?

Is it right to go against God's word in order to spread that same word? Does the end always justify the means? In this instance, I don't think so!

Leviticus 19:28,
“ ‘Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD."

Some may say it's the old testament. Yeah, but it's still the word of God, isn't it?

CHINESE COUPLE FORCED TO ABORT 6 MONTH OLD FETUS!

I was chilled to the bone when I read this story, but not surprised. Whenever people turn their backs on God in favour of humanism, this is the sort of chaos that can result.

NEW BEGINNINGS

The start of something new is often the most daunting and difficult part of the process. Be it a new project, a new relationship, a marriage, a job, school, name it. Those first steps are usually the toughest.

I'm not suggesting for one second that after the initiation period it's all smooth sailing henceforth, and no effort is required to maintain what has been started. It takes a lot of hard work to keep up with any worthwhile undertaking, but I still think there's something peculiar about new beginnings.

A QUANDARY!

Yesterday at church, I was having an innocent discussion with a friend when she unwittingly gave out some crucial information about a certain person whose services we both employ. For reasons of privacy, I shall not be divulging what the information was nor the service they provide.

HYMNS ANCIENT AND MODERN

After many years of not having one, (I left the Anglican Church many years ago), I've just acquired a new hymnbook, and it feels as if I've won the jackpot! The feelings of nostalgia that the hymns evoke are unbelievable. It's not really that I miss the Anglican church services, it's more the memories of my school days when we used to sing hymns from this book every morning at school assembly. A hymn book was among the required list of books on starting school.

NORTH CAROLINA PASTOR WANTS ONLY WHITE PEOPLE AT FRONT DOOR!

This is really shocking! Racism in the church and not only that, from a black pastor to black church members? Hmmm...! There's no excuse whatsoever for this. I'm short of words! Story here.
